November is Native American Month!

Hello friends,

Fall is officially here! With the falling leaves, spiced cider and all things holidays, let's not forget that November is Native American month! In honor of this month, I'm posting a few links to some pretty cool Native American sites. These sites are easy to navigate and are chock full of great info.

If you've ever wondered about where to start on the road to Native American genealogy, there's a site for that. There are all sorts of places to go for other things; website graphics, translations of common words in certain Native languages, recipes for Native foods and more. Take a look at what I've amassed here and if there is something you'd like to see, shoot me an email and I'll try to find it for you!

Enjoy!

4th of July FREEdom FREEbie!

Hello friends!

I hope you are enjoying your summer so far. We've flip flopped from extreme heat to cool, spring-like weather the past few weeks here in the South. I just love the cool days when I can make the front porch my office. Makes for great inspiration!

Speaking of getting inspired, I am giving away my newest eBook Talking to Ghosts for FREEdom weekend to encourage 4th of July reading. Imagine sitting by the pool with your Kindle reading scary stories...and getting goosebumps! If you love true ghost stories, I hope you'll check it out.

Get Talking to Ghosts FREE from
July 1- July 3rd. CLICK HERE

Things that go bump in the night just got real.

Some of the stories I share in this book include: paranormal events that happened to me while writing Scattered Leaves: The Legend of Ghostkiller, a visit to our home by psychic James Van Praagh and what he inspired, a missing ring that was found by a ghostly relative, and even a ghost car with no driver!

These things really happened to me, as a kid and kept happening as a grown up. I was inspired to share them after I started to jot them down for my own memory book- I thought they might inspire others, and if nothing else, let people know that they aren't crazy, these things really do happen to other people.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this FREEdom FREEbie, and please share with all your reader friends! (Remember, it is July 1 -3, so don't click yet!)

Enjoy your 4th of July and always remember, Freedom isn't free; SOME GAVE ALL!

Happy reading!

Sneak peek weekend!

Scattered Leaves: Beyond the Legend News
I am working fast and furiously to bring you the next installment of the Ghostkiller Trilogy. In the meantime, I am going back to my original idea of how I sold so many copies of Scattered Leaves: The Legend of Ghostkiller by offering free chapters to read from the sequel. That's right, FREE!
So many have written to me in anticipation of the sequel Beyond the Legend that I've decided to give away the first few chapters, just like I did with the first book. Exciting, huh?
What happened when Kyle, Nina, Mason and Chase got back? We all know the story didn't end because that black ball of dust with maniacal laughter followed them down the hill to the powwow, right? Hum....wonder what is in store for them now?! You'll soon find out!
Okay, so if you want to read the first two chapters, here's what you do: Go and like my FB author page; as soon as the page reaches 650 likes, I'll post the two chapters.(It's at 641 as of this posting) That's it! Easy peasy, right?
All three books have their own FB pages, too, as does The Ghostkiller Trilogy. Betcha didn't know that, huh? Feel free to like them all! (You'll still get to read the chapters, regardless!)
Once you've read the chapters, come back and comment on any of the FB pages so I'll know. I'm excited for you to read them, and get this: two lucky winners will receive a FREE copy of Beyond the Legend when it comes out via Goodreads!

That's all for now, so get to clickin', sharin',  and I look forward to your comments about the chapters!

Happy Reading!

Fire Dance

Fire Dance

I danced under a thousand suns
Beneath a thousands moons
I felt the wind brush my hair
Kiss my skin
Surround my soul
The thunder moved my spirit
From beneath grandfather rocks glowing red from the fire deep inside me
Lightning lit my path and struck deep
And out of the darkness I climbed
Reaching higher and higher
Until I touched the face of life
In a way that will never become words.

Major updates inside!

Hello Ghostkiller fans,

Happy New Year! Can you believe it's 2015? I sure can't. Time sure marches on, and although we can't really time travel, it sure is fun to read about it!

Speaking of reading, did you know there is an enhanced way to experience your books? How would you like to have a soundtrack playing along as you read, complete with appropriate music and sound effects? This is the premise behind a new website I just discovered last night called Booktrack. Oh, what a treasure of a find this site is!

I uploaded a short ghost story I wrote called Brown Eggs and spent the whole evening weaving in sound effects and music; creaking doors, footsteps, wood crackling, creepy music. What fun! It really brings the story to life, and I'm getting all sorts of great feedback from readers who love it! This story is in my new book releasing April 1 called Talking to Ghosts.  I invite you to read Brown Eggs, and check out the other stories on that site. It's all free to use, and who doesn't love free?

A reminder that my new cookbook is also free over on Smashwords.  Mug O’Love Desserts  is making its way up the charts over there, and people really love the easy, peasy recipes. I am putting a breakfast one together, as well, also free. It'll be out soon so look for an email from me to let you know when.

This month also finds me working on the much anticipated sequel to Scattered Leaves: Beyond the Legend. This sequel picks up right where the first book left off, with our time travelers returning to see what, if any, changes were made from their trip to the past. Without giving too much away, this story focuses on the Cherokee and the importance of knowing where you come from. It inspired my newest blog and Facebook page called Cherokee Genealogy. Through these two mediums, I hope to help others in their search for their Cherokee roots. While I can't search for people anymore (no time), I can certainly point them in the right direction so that they can find information.

Books and more books:

Also in the chute is a story about the ghost of Marilyn Monroe titled A Hollywood Hauntinga short erotic story titled Undoing the Laces and my paranormal non-fiction Talking to Ghosts which chronicles my journey down the supernatural rabbit hole. Included are incidents that happened while writing Scattered Leaves: The Legend of Ghostkiller with photos!

Really excited about getting all these books to you. Look for the in 2015!

That's all for now. I hope this New Year finds you and yours well. I KNOW we are all looking forward to that spring thaw at this point, but in the meantime, Matthew and I are headed to a cabin in the snowy hills of Eastern Kentucky this weekend. I'll blog about it and send you the link next month. Might as well enjoy all this snow while it lasts!

Til next time, Happy Reading!

All my best,
Lynny Prince

Encouragement!

Word of the day = Encouragement:

You are first class. You are good enough. You are worth it. You are beautiful wonderful, capable and amazing. NO ONE has the ability to take these things away from you but you, so don't let them and don't do it to yourself. Set boundaries, live by them, and then let go and live. Never forget you are one of a kind. Never forget you are a unique and valuable person. Never forget, above all, YOU ARE LOVED heart emoticon

Free eBook!

Hello Friends!

Just FYI that the first in the series of cookbooks I am putting out is FREE!

Mug O'Love Desserts are tasty treats made in the microwave in individual servings. Perfect for curing that sweet tooth! This version will be updated as I create more gluten free recipes, too. I am finding that gluten free cake mix behaves much like other cake mixes for the most part, but am tweaking things to make sure it tastes good, otherwise whats the point? LOL

I hope you enjoy these recipes! I've been in a slump lately, so having a little comfort food is just what the doctor ordered.

Don't forget to stop by my website for all the latest news, books, & movie insights!

Enjoy your day!
